Two-vehicle crash

MILL HALL — On Aug. 20, a two vehicle crash took place when Anthony Mahon, 51, of Flemington, was traveling north on Eagle Valley Road and failed to notice the traffic light had turned red at the intersection with state Route 64, state police at Lamar said.

This caused his 2010 Mazda 6 to strike a 2010 BMW 3281 driven by Patricia Grieb, 74, of Mill Hall, according to police.

Neither operator was injured and Grieb’s vehicle was towed from the scene by Showcase Towing.

Multi-vehicle crash

MILL HALL — A multi-vehicle crash took place at the intersection of Eagle Mountain Lane and Eagle Valley Road, according to state police at Lamar.

The crash took place on Aug. 18 at 2:48 p.m. at Lorissa Shade, 31, of Lock Haven, encountered slow traffic as someone prepared to turn onto Eagle Mountain Lane, police said.

Shade was unable to stop in time and struck her 2013 Kia Optima into a 2010 Ford Escape, driven by Anne Diprizio, 19, of Farrandsville, police said.

The crashed caused Diprizio’s vehicle to strike a 2012 Nissan Rogue driven by Beverly Pringle, 63, of Cross Fork, police said.

No injuries were reported and Martin Motors assisted in towing Shade’s vehicle from the scene.

Retail theft

MILL HALL — A 38-year-old man, of Loganton, and a 45-year-old woman, of Loganton, were charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing $140.53 worth of items from the Weis Markets in the Millbrook Plaza, Bald Eagle Township on Aug. 14, according to state police at Lamar.

Theft from vehicle

MILL HALL — Between Aug. 18 and Aug. 21, an unknown suspect stole multiple items from a 2005 Jeep Liberty at Martin Motors, 2512 Eagle Valley Road, Bald Eagle Township, according to state police at Lamar.

A 24 inch off road LED light, valued $100; an Aftermarket radio, valued $100; and miscellaneous fuses and relays from a fuse box, valued $25, were stolen from the vehicle, police said.

Thefts from vehicles

MILL HALL — State police at Lamar are investigating a string of thefts from unlocked vehicles that took place in the morning of Aug. 21 along Willis Drive in Bald Eagle Township.

The suspects have been focusing on vehicles that have been left unlocked, police said.

Anyone with information related to the incident is asked to contact state police at Lamar.

Attempted burglary

BEECH CREEK — An unknown suspect attempted to break into The Twisted Whisk Food Truck along Eagle Valley Road in Beech Creek Township between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Aug. 15, according to state police at Lamar.

A wrapped trailer door/frame, valued $4,500, was damaged, police said.

Crash with injury

RENOVO — On Aug. 17, Brandon Wertman, 27, of Williamsport, sustained injuries after losing control of his 2017 Ram 1500 while traveling west on state Route 120, striking a ditch on the right side of the roadway, according to state police at Lamar.

Wertman suffered injuries to his knees, face and left shoulder, and was transported to UPMC Williamsport via ambulance, police said. He told police he was not wearing a seatbelt during the crash.

Wertman’s vehicle was towed from the scene by Showcase Towing and traffic citations associated with the incident have been filed through District Court Judge Frank Mills’ office.

Two vehicle crash

LAMAR — Two vehicles were left disabled following a crash along Nittany Valley Drive in Porter Township on Aug. 17, according to state police at Lamar.

Daniel White, 41, of Mill Hall, was stopped in a 2006 Dodge 3500 at the entrance of the 64 Beer Store parking lot and attempted to enter and turn left onto Nittany Valley Road.

White allegedly saw A 2009 Chevrolet Express, driven by Stephen Garcia, 45, of State College, with its turn signal on, police said. White continued to pull out onto the roadway directly in front of Garcia’s vehicle, which was partially pulled out into the roadway.

Garcia struck White’s vehicle, causing disabling damage, police said.

No injuries were reported and Tressler’s Towing assisted on the scene.

Vandalized soap dispenser

LAMAR — A wall mounted soap dispenser was found vandalized in a public bathroom at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Nittany Valley Drive in Porter Township on Aug. 25, according to state police at Lamar. The investigation is currently ongoing.

DUI

LOCK HAVEN — A 33-year-old, of Lock Haven, was arrested for driving under the influence after showing indicators of impairment during a traffic stop at the intersection of Henderson Street and East Bald Eagle Street on Aug. 27, according to state police at Lamar.

Charges were filed through District Judge Keith Kibler.

Assault with weapons

ROTE — A 30-year-old Mill Hall woman and a 41-year-old Renovo man were arrested for causing bodily harm to each other with weapons during a domestic violence incident along Duck Run Road in Lamar Township on Aug. 22, according to state police at Lamar.

The incident began as a verbal argument between the two parties before turning physical, police said.

Both parties were subsequently taken into custody for harassment and are housed at the Clinton County Correctional Facility, pending arraignment, police said.

Found keys

ROTE — Three keys connected to a key chain were found near the intersection of Long Run Road and Gilmore Road in Lamar Township on Aug. 27, according to state police at Lamar.

The owner of the keys is asked to contact state police so they can be returned. Two of the keys are labeled FZZ and the third is a key with a bicycle logo.

Two-vehicle crash with injury

MILL HALL — Vickie Gavlock, 60, of Mill Hall, sustained minor injuries due to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Hogan Boulevard and Mill Hall Road in Bald Eagle Township.

At 5:45 p.m. on Aug. 22, Gavlock was turning left from Mill Hall Road onto Hogan Boulevard in a 2017 Hyundai Elantra. As she was making the turn a 2023 Audi A3 driven by Austin Mikesic, 23, of Lock Haven, struck the right side of her vehicle, police said. The crash caused Gavlock’s vehicle to rotate clockwise about 90 degrees until it came to a stop in the left turn lane on the northbound side of Hogan Boulevard, police said.

Mikesic continued about 25 feet, coming to a stop on the southbound side of Mill Hall Road, police said. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene by Tressler’s Towing.

Gavlock was treated for her injuries at the scene and was cited with vehicles turning left, police said. Flemington Goodwill Hose EMS and Mill Hall Volunteer Fire Company assisted on the scene.

Criminal mischief, stolen gas

MILL HALL — An unknown suspect is wanted for damaging a fuel door belonging to a 42-year-old woman’s 2016 Nissan Juke at 893 Lusk Run Road on Aug. 21, according to state police at Lamar. The suspect also allegedly siphoned out about two gallons of gasoline from the victim’s vehicle.

The investigation is ongoing.
